PBCS Downloads

This is the download archive of PBCS. All publically released versions are there for download, although it is recommended to use the latest STABLE release available. PBCS releases can be categorised in STABLE releases and unstable BETA releases. Releases with 'pre'-and-a-number version labels (e.g. v0.5pre2) are beta releases and should be considered as unstable. BETA releases are spin-offs from the CVS development tree (see below for more information) and are released for public testing purposes only. If you consider trying them don't try them on a production installation of PBCS. It is possible that things don't work as expected or don't work at all.

If you want to have a look at PBCS for the first time it is encouraged that you try a STABLE release. As of PBCS release 0.4 there is an installer script available making an easier install possible for system running Bash, Apache + PHP4 and MySQL. As of PBCS release 0.6.0 the Installer script release number is the same as the one of PBCS as this is much less confusing and you always know what script to use. The script was greatly improved from the PBCS-Installer-0.2.1 to the 0.6.0 release. The script only works with tar.gz files. So if you intend to use the Installer... download the tar.gz file.
Note that PBCS 0.6.x and up needs PHP 4.0.6 or higher with the PEAR library installed.

Problems are reported with version 0.5 about double log-ins using IE 5.5 and higher. There is a tar.gz downloadable that hopefully will resolve the problems. Download pbcs-0.5-PHP-4.2.x-fix.tar.gz and untar it in the auth/ directory. Please let me know on roalt@kwenie.org if this fix works for you.
